Elsewhere by Amouage is an exceptionally rich and sophisticated fragrance that continues the olfactive story of Sindbad, carrying its spirit of exploration beyond the horizon. Built around luscious fruits, golden honey, aromatic spices, black tea, cappuccino, and a deep sweet-smoky foundation, Elsewhere transforms a familiar composition into an extraordinarily textured and luxurious unisex signature.
Crafted at a remarkable 30% Essence De Parfum concentration, Elsewhere undergoes Amouage’s extended Art of Ageing ritual. Bio-ethanol is infused for six months in oakwood barrels, while the fragrance concentrate undergoes another six-month infusion with sandalwood chips, followed by two weeks of maceration. This double-infusion process creates exceptional depth, texture, and complexity.
The fragrance opens with honey, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, pomegranate, apricot, ginger, cardamom, and pink pepper. Golden honey and ripe tropical fruits provide luscious sweetness, while sparkling citrus brings brightness. Ginger, cardamom, and pink pepper introduce vibrant aromatic spice, creating a radiant and richly layered opening.
At its heart, black tea, cappuccino, and davana create an unexpected and distinctive accord. Black tea brings dry aromatic depth, while cappuccino introduces a smooth roasted creaminess. Davana adds a warm, slightly fruity-herbal character, giving the heart remarkable texture and sophistication.
As it settles, tonka bean, vanilla, cedarwood, labdanum, cypriol, vetiver, and patchouli create a deep and enduring foundation. Tonka and vanilla provide sweet-smoky warmth, while cedarwood adds structure. Labdanum brings resinous richness, complemented by earthy cypriol, vetiver, and patchouli for a sophisticated and lasting finish.
Finally, the sandalwood and oakwood infusion patina runs through the composition, adding creamy woody smoothness and distinctive aged depth that sets Elsewhere apart.
